the difficulty doesnt come from complexity but from the retardedness of it. it is probably the least phoenetic language except for french, it is full of exceptions to its rules, words with same pronunciations but wildly different spellings, and a multitude of other oddities. it is a difficult language to grasp the rules of, especially for someone who is past their teens. when i was a kid, i learned english very quickly and got the hang of spanish with little difficulty in high school. now, i can hardly remember new words i learn in various other languages.
