So when I was 12 I wanted to be cool by having Magic: The Gathering cards. So, my friend and I went to the local supermarket, swiped some packs and then we were apprehended as we were walking out. I have been a faggot ever since.

Magic: The Gathering - not even once.

>>673839250
Lol what's the most you've swiped?

when i was 16 me and a mate stole around $150 worth of groceries. this was just when self-serve was just bought out in Australia, we scanned through a few items (which were el cheapo things anyways) and that was that.

Never went back to that supermarket again.

When I was a little shit i could get 4 Monster Imports out in one run without a bag. Just the right coat tailored for the job, and timing. Knowing when a shift change occurs and such. Also knowing when the Cops change shift so that there is the least amount of heat on the street. I got caught a few years back and stopped. They banned me and I came back a while ago and bought some shit and left.

Interesting... I actually go to the college magic the gathering was created at. I can understand why you didn't that, no need to call yourself what other people will inevitably call you
>>
>>673839986
So true, I have a couple. They usually open up spider wrap too
>>
>>673840260
Spider wrap.. security boxes.. just gotta keep them away from your cell phone. They're easy to conceal too, and most people don't know what they are so they don't suspect anything
>>
Never look directly at a camera, never EVER put something back after you've successfully made it outside. If you decide you don't want something, throw it away.
>>
I have shoplifter from Kmart a bunch, one time the alarm at the door went off after I bought stuff but had more in my backpack and they didn't think twice and just said I was fine. Make sure to take the little white raised barcode thing off of stuff you shoplift. There are two little pieces of metal inside, just take them out and the alarm won't go off. The registers are supposed to demagnetize them but don't always so false alarms are common enough for he whole system to be ignored as long as you buy something when you shoplift.
>>
>>673840520
Cell phone? Why?
>>
>>673839869
How funny... Unfortunately they wouldn't fit in my backpack, it would be pretty obvious.

I stole candy once when i was like 13 and felt horrible, never stole from a store again. i did steal weed from my friends however. i do have shoplifting stories however since i work at a convenience store. this guy had balls
>nigger walks up the the counter
>he is on the phone talking about cigs
>he asks how much for a carton of newports
>i tell him and he asked for 5
>over 300$ worth of cigs
>thought it was weird but whatever
>put it all in a bag behind the counter
>he asks me to grab medicine from the counter behind me
>as soon as i turn he reaches over the counter (nigga was tall) grabs the bag and runs
>i chase after him and make it out the the parking lot
>he jumps in a car and he buddy was already waiting for him with the car turned on
>he makes a quick getaway
we called the police and gave him a description but he just looked like an average nigger so there wasn't much they could do.
here's another
>lady with huge coat comes in
>starts shoving gatorade and energy drinks into here coat while we just watch
>fits like 8 gatorade bottles in her jacket
>i walk up to her and tell her she cant leave with that
>she says she's returning them and needs to run to her car for the receipt
>tell her that's nice but she cant leave the store with them
>she ignores me and walks out
In reality we cant stop people from stealing, we cant even ban them.

>be me
>work as an LP
>literally happened today at 3 o clock
I was in the electronics department watching a 22 year old white male later identified as (we'll just call him) Kyle selecting Bluetooth speakers. Bluetooth speakers are a high theft aisle. Kyle proceeded to another department in the store after selecting a speaker . Kyle then placed the speaker on the shelf and removed it from the package and concealed it in his front left pocket. I contact law enforcement as soon as Kyle concealed the item. Kyle proceeded to the western exit where I had the officer waiting outside the door. I approached Kyle in the vestibule and identified myself. I then requested the speaker from Kyle because his body language indicated Kyle was not going to comply. Kyle argued and stated he had not stolen anything. I then demanded the speaker from Kyle again. Kyle surrendered the speaker and told me to move out of his way. I requested Kyle's compliance to be processed. Kyle refused and threatened to kick my ass if I touched him or talked to him. Kyle then exited the store and was immediately detained by lock authoritires. Kyle was found carrying a pair of brass knuckles which are illegal in my state. Kyle was prosecuted for the weapon and theft.

Moral of the story. Don't be like Kyle and pay for your shit.

When we were 15,16,17 me and some friends basically had an operation going. wed go to every mall in two area codes. Once one got too hot we'd just go to a different one. probably over a few thousands worth total from all of us. We used many different methods for many different things. We'd get caught sometimes but never arrested. Somethings we took were candy, baskets full of actual food we'd just walk out with when hungry, alcohol (beer or hard alcohol), lighters, Levi's, belts, nikes, converse, Versace sunglasses, Versace cologne, ray bans, rolling papers, Bluetooth speakers, headphones, video games, hats, socks, a necklace, watches, cooking scale, sweatpants, heavy jacket, beanies, camera lens. Don't know how it was so easy for us, just we planned situations perfectly. You can't shoplift from every store using the same technique, you gotta find the technique that's right for the store and for the item you want.
>>
>>673841143
Yeah at my Sears job we talk about shoplifting a fair bit, all under the assumption that none of us steal from the place. At our store we don't get much shoplifting because it's a small store in a small town, so everyone knows everyone else. There used to be a huge Sears store that closed and their policy was that they would follow people around who looked suspicious (as we do in our store) but only 4 cameras out of maybe 30 were active at one time. Which ones were active would rotate, so you never knew if a camera was active or not, but chances were it wasn't. One of the ones outside was disconnected with the power cord hanging down the wall, blowing in the wind. Cameras are just there to scare, they can't actually do shit if you go out of view for a split second because during the time you're off camera you could have put back whatever you were caught on tape taking. When I shoplifting I make sure I find a place that is completely off camera (some isles don't have cameras at all) and just wait there for a while before coming back on camera so that if I was caught on tape nabbing something there would be no proof that I didn't put it back.
>>
I used to shoplift from a grocery store nearly every day on my lunch break back when i was in high school. One of my friends shoplifted with me, we usually just took candy bars and shit. One time I started having a conscience about all the theft, and ditched my goods before checkout. My friend didn't. We ended up getting busted by rent-a-cops when we left the store, he still had his goods, and I didn't, so I got off scot-free. He got banned from the store until he was 18 (we were 14 at the time). I kept stealing shit from the same store. Never saw the rent-a-cops again.
>>
>>673842150
Cooking scale? Sounds like you started shoplifting just for the fun of it, which I can understand. I definitely am starting to become addicted to it.
>>
>>673841793
Moral of the story: don't carry illegal weapons and don't be caught stealing stuff on camera.
>>
>>673841793
Yo LP, is the whole chain of events thing real? Can you still process someone if they stepped into a camera blind spot?
>>
>>673842544
I'd say about half the stuff we took we took for other people who kind of had orders in. Yeah we'd take a lot of stuff for us but once we found out how good we were we started to use it to make a profit. People needed specific things and for some reason didn't want to pay the full price or would trade us. So somebody would say they need something and tel is what we'd get in return and if it was worth it we'd go through. The cooking scale was for somebody, they wanted a nice one so we got one from Walmart and traded it to somebody for 3 grams of weed.
>>
Yeah I'm addicted to shoplifting. Anyone know how to stop? I actually need help with this

Ex Wal-Mart employee reporting in about a huge theft at the store I worked at.

>Small store with cut backs on employees, one of them overnight LP
>Managers never thought it was necessary to keep an associate in electronics over night
>Guy walks in store and goes to electronics department, guess he noticed no one there
>Grabbed a big suitcase from luggage and a pillow from home lines department
>Walked behind electronics counter, put pillow up against glass and used a glass punch to break glass door
>MFW no alarm or anything set up, also nothing to hide what's behind the door
>There were 20 or so ipads behind the glass door

Back when I was ~5, I would steal pockets upon pockets of peanuts from this big barrel they had of them at the local grocery. Well, the place went out of business eventually I think and they put something else in the building and I mostly forgot about them. Years later, when we were moving, I found one of the jackets I had in the closet still had some in the pocket. Was good for a chuckle.

Cannot remember what the hell I did with them. I know I did not eat them. So long ago at this point...shit...going on 17 years since I stole them and at last 10 since I moved...man...time flies.

Plus...he removed it from the packaging. That's a pretty good amount of proof. Also most places give you until the point of purchase, so after you walk past the registers, it's considered theft in the eyes of the law..
>>
>>673845910
Stfu faggot and read up on the law theft is the intent to take something from another person which in this case would be the store.
>>
>>673846739

That's what they told us at Wal-Mart, we weren't allowed to touch them, accuse them or anything because they could sue and we would lose our job. Was stocking shelves one night and some guy walks up next to me, says excuse me so I move aside for a minute. He then proceeds to take things and stuff them in his pants and jacket.

Currently working full time making a bunch of money a year so don't do this shit anymore, but went through a serious klepto phase for a little bit. Not sure if I want to share my techniques in case I ever want to use them again, but I will say in each of these cases they probably only found out it was missing after at least a month; no irregularities in the system. Things I've stolen with close to zero risk from walmart, fry's, microcenter, petco, and other big box stores:

-GTX 670 TI
-GTX 980 TI
- i7 3770k (almost time for a new cpu.....)
-$900 worth of saltwater aquarium gear that I never fucking used
-Enough quality men's care products to last another 5 years~ (face wash, moisturizer, nice shaving cream with the brush and shit)
-Bunch of random magic the gathering cards and other toys for lulz
-Bunch of random shit from walmart that I've never used, probably through away several hundred dollars worth like smartphone car holders, portable battery packs, etc.

Eventually I had to stop because I got stopped by a walmart employee who thought something was weird but then I talked my way out of it. After that I decided I had a problem and needed to quit. I was literally stealing several hundred dollars worth of shit at a time from big box stores for no reason other than the thrill. The high end PC component jobs were fun and pretty low risk, but I decided just to stop overall. Even the best techniques, the best cons, if you establish a pattern you'll get caught eventually.

Maybe one day if I have a friend several years younger than me and into this shit I'd pass off some ideas but sharing exact methods on the internet? that's asking for the feds. Maybe I can share some stories on some con jobs if people are interested.
>>
used to shoplift a lot with friends when i was 14/15

a trip to a mall or anywhere with multiple stores would easily result in us getting one or two hundred dollars of shit per person. we did this at least twice a month for about two years

there was also a lot of petty theft of junkfood n shit here and there

all of us got caught eventually, but it was almost always because someone got too cocky about stealing a small item.

i quit after i got caught stealing 10$ worth of shit. havent done it since. i miss it, but im an adult now and i dont want to get fuckin arrested

If you've got self service machines, change the labels on things of the same weight and you can get them for cheap, alternatively, keep your labels for re-use.

Example, store brand 2 litre of water, 70P (pence, don't know what it is in America, like 95 cents). Cut the barcode off it it and stick it to a bottle of Coca Cola and scan it through - because both are now the same weight, the machine won't notice.

Works with anything, just get the weight right.

Oh I almost forgot...

-Thousands of dollars in seafood and steaks from grocery stores. Talking sea bass, prime rib, scallops, tiger shrimps. I ate well for a freshman/sophomore in college.
-I still ring shit up wrong at self checkout just for shits and giggles. This amount probably varies, sometimes it might be $10 per trip or $20+. If I have a family one day it'll probably be a lot, but if you do it regularly again you're creating a pattern and a paper trail.

I don't steal, but I had a heroin addict friend that would steal shit for me if I let him crash and buy him drugs. So, basically I was stesling by proxy, but was too much of a pussy to do it myself. Anyways, I felt like if I had him steal enough stuff eventually he'd get caught, go to jail, and clean up

>Had him steal a whole bunch of Magic cards first, that was no problem
>Had him steal tons of PS3 games and Blue Rays asily
>Had him steal a bunch of Carharrt gear, becausd that shit's dope
>Shoes, clothes, other random stuff

Eventually I felt like I was going to run out of shit for him to steal, I basically was spending $40 a day on this guy, but he got me hundreds of dollars worth of shit. So I devised my master plan

>Looked up a build of top of the line gaming PC at the time

>in about a week and a half, I have a badass rig

But that wasn't enough. I needed a crown jewel

>60" 3D HDTV

The next day he asked what I wanted, so I just told him to get a bunch of booze. He gets fucking caught, the cops pull him in and say they've been building a case of all the thefts he's been doing and could go to jail for fifteen years. He tells me to get him a lawyer or he's going to tell them where the shit is

>Have another friend rent a storage unit
>Put all the stolen shit in there
>Tell dude to fuck off
>He tells cops about me and they call
>I say he's a drug addict and has stolen from me and has tried to manipulate me into buying him drugs and has showed up trying to sell me obviously stolen shit.
>Tell cops to come on over and look around
>They do, say guy is a piece of shit
>He goes to jail, still in for 3 more years

Moral of the story: I got a bunch of free stuff

My Sears went 6 months without loss prevention. Anyone could've just walked in. Grabbed 10 pairs of Levi jeans and some expensive headphones and just walk out as long as they weren't seen.

>same shit

In the 'sears' uniform they would steal right in front of me, sometimes they would look at me. I would say 'I can't do shit go for it.'

I'm not risking my life for 12 dollars an hour.

We had more shoplifters than legitimate customers.

Used to do a whole shitload of shoplifting with a friend. We'd steal pretty much anything. Graphing calcs, beats headphones, a couple keyboards, a razer mouse (still using it today :D), a bunch of cheap misc. things, just whatever we wanted.
I'd say we've taken at least 3 grand worth of stuff total.
I got caught taking a fucking pack of batteries though. Shit sucks.

Some adviceto those that go to the area in the store with no camera domes to conceal and think there aren't cameras. Most of those areas are traps there are cameras called coverts that are about as big as your thumb and the lens is about the size of a pen tip but are HD quality. Good luck spoting them in the ceiling.

Recently I've been stealing beer and food from my local supermarket without any problems. I can just walk out of the store with cases of bottles/cans and no confrontation. I think they have noticed me by now, but I continue to get away with it.

Nah. Kroger is about making friends, not making money.
They gave every Kroger employee in the nation a meeting saying if you catch someone shoplifting that you are to ask "excuse me sir, did you forget this item?"
If they say no, you can't do anything. They don't employee security guards (i know because the security office is now the employee break room)
It's a shit place to work, every employee friend i have wants to kill themselves. Literally nobody cares.

The prices vary from card to card, but the ones I advertise usually range from 6-80$ usd. I have duplicates of some very valuable sets and individual cards. Seriously I'm talking thousands of dollars worth, and that's only retail price.

In one transaction I've made 425$ off of 15 cards. Not at my house right now but I would list them. Usually make around 150 if the people are truly interested.

Oh in that case Yes I don't understand the reasons people give for stealing I mean being poor and wanting stuff is just silly. Many of the people that steal are dumb in the sense they think if they didn't get caught this time they are fine and keep stealing from the same places. We have a database that keeps track of people that have taken stuff and when they get caught at one store are charged out with everything they have done from the other stores. The look on they faces when I interview them and they find out they are being charged with thousands of dollars and not just this the few hundred dollars from that day is priceless.

We recently had two break-ins in our store. They smashed the glass of the emergency doors, stole tablets, phones, consoles and games and were out the door minutes before the police arrived. Never got caught to my knowlege. Two weeks later they repeated it. Now the doors are replaced with steel-doors. Lets see how that works out.

Yeah I didn't know some retailers did either until I got this job. I make about 70k a year and it's not a bad gig. I get paid more than most police detectives and we have a lot of prior law enforce the that apply for investigator positions. The only thing about my job is that I there is a lot of travel involved at times for example if break in or robbery happens at one of the stores in my district I have to head over there to deal with it. I had to go to one at 3 am and got called while I was sleeping one time which kinda sucked but it's ok for the most part.

My friends and I used to steal all sorts of shit after school. I went to a fairly posh school so nobody suspected that kids wearing our uniforms would steal things. We always had the money to pay for shit we stole but I guess it was fun and we saw it as a challenge.

We also went bigger once.

>be me, sixteen at the time
>Friday night, arrive at a party with a group of 7 friends
>girl hosting party doesn't really like me but she's too drunk to care, we're all from the same school
>one of my friends gets shitfaced and falls over in the living room, breaking a whole lot of shit in the process
>he apologises and offers to pay for anything he broke
>host bitch starts screaming at him and spits in his face
>oh shi-
>hold my drunk friend back from slapping the shit out of her
>he seems surprisingly relaxed though
>we leave the party calmly and the host bitch slams the door behind us
>"why are you so chill bro, she just spat in your face?"
>one of my friends holds up a set of keys
>"Dom swiped the keys to her mom's range rover on the way out"
>we form a plan
>drive to my friend's house nearby, grab a pair of boltcutters
>head back to the party about 30 minutes later and park up the road from the house
>party is still going but no one is at the front of the house
>sneak up the driveway and unlock the range rover
>jump in, start the car and back out of the driveway at over 9000 mph, tear ass up the road
>drive to our school
>cut the chain off the back gates of the school
>drive the range rover onto the oval
>leave the keys in the glovebox
>close the gate behind us and drive back to my friend's house
>spend the rest of the night grilling meat on the barbecue while drinking beer while getting live updates on facebook/via text from people who are still at the party

There was an almighty shitstorm on Monday but fuck me it was worth it.

When i was 14 i stole 6 cartons of cigs from the backroom of a local convenience store in one trip. Sold them to kids at my school. Went back and got 10 more (actually 12, but i gave the 2 to a little kid for helping me sneak em out in one trip).

Stole two pairs of jeans from a department store and my buddy who was with me (and whose had driven us) had some too and somehow set off the door scanner things on the way out. That faggot stopped and put his hands up. I outran 2 LP employees and a cop who eventually came to try to look for me. Had no ride so i called home and parents said cops had already called, my "buddy" had sold me out. I walked a mile back to the store and told the lady at customer service i stole some shit earlier and i was there to turn myself in. mfw. and hfw.

I had a bigger CD collection than my parents while i was still in school and too young to work. Regularly stole packs of cigs, candy, magazines, and bottles of liquor from various stores. Hit up the mall stores for shoes and clothes sometimes as well. Only time i ever got caught was when that faggot ratted on me. This was mostly in the 90s when security wasn' as modern as now. Eventually i started making a living and didn't need to steal anymore. It was fun while it lasted tho.

So basically I was 16 and as long as you have an ID you can return shit to walmart for store credit.
I would steal CDs and DVDs as they were easy to shove down my jeans and keep tucked with my belt. I would steal about 100$ per run, even more if I stole blu rays
Then I would return them later that day until I used up all my returns (which is like 3 I think) and then just have another friend return the shit, so on so forth. Then we would take the walmart gift card they charged the return to and buy booze and cigarettes. I ended up stealing about 2000 dollars worth of shit until they caught on and I got caught by secret shoppers. One of the secret shoppers was a skater I saw occasionally at the skate park so thankfully he let me off easy, not knowing that I had stolen MUCH more in the long run. Let me put a fake name on some paper, no picture taken.

Still works today if your local Walmart isn't super tight on security.

Just dress like a cop, get a catalog that let's you buy clothing and utility gear as close to cop as possible, and walk into whatever store. You could be just getting off duty, they don't know. Clean up, shave your hair down a bit, and be polite. Have a bag from the store from a previous visit. Pull it out of your pocket and fill with items. Leave. Talk on your phone too and look busy if anyone tries to stop you or talk to you at all, just nod and smile and keep talking into your phone. Cycle places out, just do it at a few here and there, and they need to be big places like wal marts.
>>
>>673854440

Also i never paid for condoms until i was about 23 or 24. Felt awkward buying them so i just ripped em off.

Once or twice hit up people's garages but i was nervous some old man would walk out and shoot me so i didn't do it that often. Stole two different kids' bikes just because they pissed me off. Switched parts between them and resold them through a friend.

Local gas stations would leave "displays" of Coke 12 packs in front of their doors, I'd sneak up around the corner of the store at like 4am and grab a couple and run. Sometimes I'd stockpile six or so around the corner then grab my car a few blocks away and scoop em all up.

Maybe the worst thing i ever stole was at college over easter weekend one year. Almost everyone went home but i stayed in the dorms. Somebody left the mailroom door open and i snuck in and took a few cards from people's boxes and got money out of quite a few (probably a few hundred dollars, all cash). Never heard anybody complain about it and wasn't scared they could catch me anyway.

Used to open Pokemon booster packs at Walgreens and Target.
Once found a Feraligatr card I wanted inside on of those tin cases and I just opened it and pulled it out.
Stealing cards is fairly easy, just open them, take out the cards, put the plastic package back on the shelf and walk out with the cards.
I think nowadays the packages are made out of cardboard so it should be even easier.

Basically, grab a basket. Throw some shit in there to make it look like you're a regular shopper, don't take more than 20 minutes though MAX. Walk to the CD section and pick out the most expensive DVDs and CDs you can find (some blu rays don't have alarms on them). Throw em in the basket, in easy grasp. Walk to a blindspot and quickly shove them in your pants while facing one of the aisle walls or crouch down and act like you're looking at something. If you have an ID you can take the stuff back later and return it without a receipt. Sometimes they won't do it if it's over like 120 bucks. You can do this 3 times per person. With the gift card they give you, you can buy booze, cigarettes...w/e. Stole about 2000 dollars in the long run, many many fun drunken nights. Buddies still talk about my success. We use to call ourselves international jewel thieves as a joke lol.

Look out for dudes that don't have a basket or just walk around with an item in their hand. Don't risk it if it seems like one is eyeballing you or following close to you. Most Walmarts have secret shoppers. They'll call the cops. If this is the situation, FUCKING RUN. RUN LIKE A NIGGER. They can't do shit once you're a good distance from the store.

Pretty much. It's an easy gig that can pay up to fifteen bucks an hour. You write down custodial shit that has to be done (by someone else not you), on a site, you make sure shit isn't broken or stolen on big sites like office buildings or whatever, and in strip malls you ride around checking out girls and talking to store owners about whatever issue they have. I was hit once or twice, not even hard, by dumb asses. Cops got them within a couple minutes and I could smile and rub it in. Also worked armed sites, that pay more than 20 an hour and have cool trucks to drive, but they are obviously more dangerous and why risk yourself for private owners or whatever?

But the jobs that pay on the higher end of unarmed, where you can sit with an airconditioner and a book or something, are awesome. Had several over the years. You get in with one company and you are golden with any other you apply to. Unless you got shit canned before or something.

I never, ever gave anyone real shit over anything, and never really cared. Just money and time.

I only stole videogame covers from VG retail shops. Always the same trick. Dude asks information about the sys. requrement of a game, while I picked up a game from the shelfs far from them and I pulled out the cover. (Before you Ask: To prevent stealing from their shop the VG shop decided to pull out the disks from the vg boxes. You could get the disks, when you paid. ) Why did I do that, bacause in my country (Hungary) before the spreading of the ADSL internet, writing games out to CD and DVD was s big business. You could even make 4$/DVD if you were lucky, but an original game cover droped the price of it to 7$, and a lot of People payed ot out instead 50$ for the original or more (They could live without multiplayer)
