However, if you kept watching through until midway of season 1, you would see that the show is much better than Death Note. And it did have epic music as well. Well, that's the difference between the two. Code Geass went more into depth with strategy because of the show's nature, there was an ongoing war between an opressive force and a rebellion. Death Note was more about manipulation and deception, and how the main character was able to fool others. While it's pretty neat, it kind of bothered me how much of a douchebag and immachure child they made Yagami towards the end.
