His plans simply aren't feasible.

Bernie Sanders' healthcare "plan" alone would cost $18 trillion. Sanders' tax increases would bring in $6.5 trillion, and that number is the one he provides; other sources state an additional revenue of as low as $4 trillion. Thus, even using Sanders' high numbers, there is still a $11.5 trillion deficit.

'Taxing the rich' and modest tax increases would definitely not being in the necessary income to pay for the plan. This is the problem: there are all of these "programs", but they will not be implemented unless they can sufficiently be paid for. Sanders' plans are not practical without tax increases on all Americans, including the poor and middle class. That would put shambles on both the poor and middle class, taking money out of their paychecks and sending them further into poverty -- these tax increases would not be small, either, they'd have to be quite large to pay for his healthcare plan alone, let alone all of his other "plans".

this will still be possible but not to the gross amount where people who would rather lay off thousands of workers than live a semi-luxurius lives deciding their own salaries, which goes upward of 1000x their companies average worker

most social democracies have a have a strong middle class where the higher upper class 1% class makes ~20x the average worker, which is a fair amount if you work hard for it

I'd like to see how free everything is in Swedenistan when the sand niggers have wasted police resources and deemed anything educational "offensive" which your cuckolded government puts a stop to.
The point is that all of it can't be implemented any time soon, because of the cost and the fact that Americans would waste their free degrees on social science degrees.
Then the raised taxes would cause all good employers to move elsewhere.

Just because it is currently in Sweden doesn't mean it will work or happen soon in the US.

what happens when the wealthy leave the country?

Do you think the poor people are going to know what to do? Or do the poor depend on the rich to support their dumb asses?

If you take a class of 20 people in it and they all take a test. 10 get A's and 10 get F's the teacher takes all the grades puts them together and averages them out and the outcome is all 20 people get C's. Do you think the people that got A's would try as hard next time?
Thats socialism.. thats what Bernie is.. Bernie sanders supporters are retarded and think everything should be handed to them and not work for anything.

"To pay for it, Mr. Sanders, a Vermont independent running for the Democratic nomination, has so far detailed tax increases that could bring in as much as $6.5 trillion over 10 years, according to his staff."

Such a shame you don't understand economics.

>>673563162
Once again, the projected income of the tax increases that he has proposed will not even come close to the amount necessary to pay for the plan. You must severely lack reading comprehension skills too, because I stated that in my original post.

>>673563165
How do you pay for this, then? You seem to believe, like most Sanders supporters, that money just appears out of the air. Where is the 11.5 trillion going to come from? You've made an excellent example of a typical Sanders supporter, one who doesn't understand economics and simply says "make the money appear."

Are you saying, right now, there is no repercussion to continuously borrowing money and not paying it back so it is okay to continue to do so? You know that even if sanders is elected, you will still have to pay back your student loans, right? lol what could possibly go wrong?

An ad homeniem attack. I see that you've ran out of ways to logically make an argument and instead are attempting to move the goalpost to take the topic off of the fact that you cannot actually respond to a logical argument about your candidate and his proposals. You've exemplified my original argument that Sanders' supporters don't understand economics; well done.

The 170 economists who support his plan to break up the big banks do:

https://berniesanders.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Wall-St-Letter-1.pdf

ECONOMISTS AND FINANCIAL EXPERTS IN FAVOR OF SEN. SANDERS’
WALL ST. REFORMS
In our view, Sen. Bernie Sanders’ plan for comprehensive financial reform is critical
for avoiding another “too-big-to-fail” financial crisis. The Senator is correct that the
biggest banks must be broken up and that a new 21st Century Glass-Steagall Act,
separating investment from commercial banking, must be enacted.
Wall Street’s largest banks are now far bigger than they were before the crisis, and
they still have every incentive to take excessive risks. No major Wall Street
executive has been indicted for the fraudulent behavior that led up to the 2008
crash, and fines imposed on the banks have been only a fraction of the banks’
potential gains. In addition, the banks and their lobbyists have succeeded in
watering down the Dodd-Frank reform legislation, and the financial institutions that
pose the greatest risk to our economy have still not devised sufficient “living wills”
for winding down their operations in the event of another crisis.
Secretary Hillary Clinton’s more modest proposals do not go far enough. They call
for a bit more oversight and a few new charges on shadow banking activity, but they
leave intact the titanic financial conglomerates that practice most shadow banking.
As a result, her plan does not adequately reduce the serious risks our financial
system poses to the American economy and to individual Americans. Given the size
and political power of Wall Street, her proposals would only invite more dilution
and finagle.
The only way to contain Wall Street’s excesses is with reforms sufficiently bold and
public they can’t be watered down. That’s why we support Senator Sanders’s plans
for busting up the biggest banks and resurrecting a modernized version of GlassSteagall.

But that doesnt mean the problem is our economic system, that means the problem is our immigration politics. Its our welfare system that has raised our living standard for the past 100 years.

People with no jobs collects wellfare money financed by tax payers while searching for a job. In that case they have a chance to go back to work and start paying tax and become an active citizen again. In US theyre fucked.

The problems in sweden have nothing to do with our economy.

If a person with 500 dollars pay 30% in tax and a person with 100 dollars pay 30% in tax the guy with 500 will still have more money after the tax.

Interesting. Whereas I have 5 sources stating the cost of his plans and the income his tax plans would bring, you have nothing because there is nothing for you to have. You don't have an argument, so you're trying to change the subject.

>your entire argument hinges on the assumption the money or the capital isn't there.

>your entire argument hinges on the assumption the money or the capital isn't there.

But the capital is NOT there. The federal government recieved $3.021 trillion in tax revenues in 2014 (https://www.cbo.gov/sites/default/files/cbofiles/attachments/49892-Outlook2015.pdf), and is projected to only reach $3.656 trillion in 2015. The total cost of Iraq, even with generous estimates, does not even come close to the amount of money Sanders' plans would cost. Where are you going to find the money? Where is it going to come from? The money does not exist. It's not going to appear out of thin air. You're continuing to demonstrate the fact that Sanders' supporters have no iota of knowledge at all about economics or the operation of the government.

Nope. Not at all. It's like you've never talked to a Bernie supporter in your life. That's definitely not what I think, rendering your blanket statement immediately false.

All Bernie supporters are close minded, brain washed human beings, do not expect one to prove anything to you, they can only insult and say how disgusting and sexist other candidates are.

I've posted 6 different sources. You're attempting to suggest that they are not enough because that's the only "argument" you have left at this point. You have nothing to stand on because everything you've said has been proven incorrect.

>not knowing what taxes are
His tax increases would not pay for it. They would not raise even close to the necessary capital.

>not knowing what borrowing is

The government borrowed $483 billion in 2014 (https://www.cbo.gov/sites/default/files/cbofiles/attachments/49892-Outlook2015.pdf). Are you suggesting that they should increase that by over $10 trillion? That is ridiculous. You're continuing to demonstrate your complete lack of understanding of economics here.

The version of Earth where in countries that have gun prohibition, people aren't killed with guns.

The problem with the US is that we are a leading gun manufacturer, and it's easy to smuggle weapons. We would have to weaken the gun manufacturing industry before we could have effective prohibition.

That would not even come close to the amount of money necessary to pay for his healthcare plan alone, even with his tax increases. The math does not work out.

Okay, go outlaw marijuana, crack, and heroine, and let's see the rates of drug-related crime go down.

Where is the money going to come from? It isn't going to appear out of thin air, and no Sanders' supporter has yet to be able to provide evidence for how Sanders is going to fund his massive plans. It's unfortunate that Sanders supporters don't understand simple math and economics, but to be honest I didn't expect much more from them.
