Fluffies are like infants that can talk from day fucking one thrust into partially adult issues (such as still being a retarded infant at breeding age.) They have no social conditioning, and most of their irresponsible owners don't bother teaching them, so they just have an innate sense of want and infantile anger when they aren't satisfied. They also occasionally demonstrate altruism or genuine courage, though both often wind up being ineffective or even punished. Hell, look at Mercury from the Fall of Cleveland.
Fluffies aren't the worst of humanity distilled so much as they're merely unchecked human nature itself. About the only fluffies that really sicken me are the ones that made it to parenthood but abandon their foals at the first sign of trouble. That just goes counter even to basic instinct.

The fluffies are too innocent, cute and naive. They have nothing but love and huggies to give, and expect friends and happiness from the world. As a moderately jaded human, you know the world isn't like that, so it's strangely satisfying to reveal the cruelty and injustice of the world to these happy-go-lucky little retards.
I try to be a good person and a productive poster, but that leads to accumulating lots of pent-up aggression. The fluffies provide a harmless way to relieve those evil desires, and be the unrepentant asshole that ruins the lives of helpless victims. I have a tough time understanding why some of these comics depict these things as pets and the owner flies mad and mutilates them in some way and leaves it alive.
