Like, one day we were really busty, so we were low on carts. Well, they sent about 15 of us out into the parking lot to get carts. That weren't outside, because customers had 90% of them still in use. And they bitched that none of us were working hard enough, rather than accept that they were wrong and that manpower couldn't solve the problem.
They never do hat they should, and instead just hire more management, or throw tons of people at problems and then get mad when it doesn't work. Walmart as a company is like a spoiled child.

I'll be honest, this is the only job I have ever had. Worked my way up from being an overnight stocker. I used to love this company. Now, I am burnt out. It's not the people, it's the way they tie our hands down. Every store I have worked at so far I have seen great associates get shit on by other managers on my team to stay out of trouble. Yeah that's how it works in my store. Managers compete with one another constantly. When I used to be a 2nd shift Toys associate, I legit had the backroom manager and the GM manager competing for which gets to order me around. They were both Shift managers, so same rank, only person above them was the store manager, who was only here like 1 day a week before he got fired (thank god)
It was at the point that I was getting in trouble for doing what one manager said instead of the other. I had to go to the Grocery Shift manager of all people (Legit cool guy, very fair, fun to talk to) and he pretty much told them to cut the shit and grow up, it was awesome.

The associates got blamed, of course for "Not preparing and communicating properly", but HR blamed management for their poor managing skills.

To be fair, it's not the worst job in the world, now that the pay-raise went through. I started at $7.45 as a toys associate, worked 3 years, got up to $9.95 through a couple raises and eventually moving up to Electronics where I got a large raise due to pay rates, and now I'm making $10.50 an hour. Not too bad. I had to work several years to get up to that rate, but now you can get about that starting out ($9.00 I believe)
