Football is way over rugby, wrestling and hockey.
Guys get permanently injured, many with brain damage for life, every single day and it is expected. Once in awhile someobody will get injured in hockey but the lifespan of a professional hockey player is several times that of football because it is a high impact sport with the biggest guys looking to smash you every single play. And that's everyone on the field (except the kicker). That doesn't occur in any other sport.
There's a world of difference between the level of impact, collision, and desire to physically and permanently harm your adversary in footbal as compared to sports like wrestling and rugby where the objective is to simply "hold on" to your opponent--not smash him at full speed every single down just to get a chance to maim the quarterback.

What "opportunity"? There are no rules. A street fight is nonstop go and is usually over in seconds, and always from striking. No street fight goes to the ground. Period. It is over by that point. All martial arts are going to give you something for a real fight. Any striking martial is going to get rid of you flinch when someone swings at you, any grappling martial art is going to get rid of the flinch when someone tries to take you down. Aside from that it doesn't make a huge difference. That doesn't mean you can't use what you learn during a real fight, it just means that its just not going to really matter as much since there are no rules, rhyme, or reason.

That's the military one. No rules, disable/kill opponent by any means. Techniques are different and way more harsh compared to a sport version.

Been part of the fight game for over 15 years now. Trained in kickboxing, boxing and did some wrestling in high school.
As far as difficulty/toughness goes, boxing at the pro level is clearly in the lead. There's a reason why fighters that can't cut it in boxing start training in other disciplines so they can have a future in UFC or K-1.
47 minutes of circling another man in a ring trying to knock him out and defend against getting knocked out, with millions of dollars at stake. Nothing compares to it.
If you cut the rounds in half it might be closer to MMA but as it stands, boxing is still the toughest of the combat sports.
