I personally enjoy how Canada is modelled after England. Ottawa is very European compared to other cities in the country and obviously Parliament is very English in it's design. It's not so much that she has any power here, but it's a way to be culturally connected to other parts of the world, and as a Canadian, that doesn't have to be marred by getting edgy over colonialism, I quiet enjoy that our roots come from an ancient Kingdom who we still pay homage to through recognizing her as Queen
