The USSR is the best example of communism.
It had the highest quality of life out of any communist nation. However it was stunted and simultaneously promoted by the cold war. Trade governed by the state with capitalist nations would have ended the technological issues, and the lack of non war innovation, however having to compete with the west was what kept it going despite lack of trade.
I'd gladly live in the USSR, Britain's shite, Canada's Shite, america's just horrific if you actually care about your political freedoms and economic prospects.

Despite the profit motive being an inherent evil, individuals want to work for gains for themselves and their families. In the last phase when all people are equal and there are no more countries in the world: if you look at it realistically people will NEVER be equal. Not because of the system but because there will always be one guy who will make a small gang for himself of which he will be the leader and the gang will abuse the system in such way that they will have more stuff than the other. And if not materialistically, then there will always be a few racists who will group up and discriminate (remember in communism there is no police or military!) Hey /b/, just wanted to hit you with some facts with regards to why socialist countries operating under communist leadership are inherently better in the long run than capitalist countries, since this type of discussion is typically devoid of anything factual that isn't taken completely out of context.
First off: people like to say that capitalism is better than communism because capitalism produces better products. Consider this: the USSR literally went from being a loosely united country under a czar that used wooden plows to having electrical grids and railroads in the entire country within ten years and into fucking space within fifty years. The United States had its revolution in 1776 and still doesn't have clean drinking water in many places and had to literally move the finish line during the SPACE race in order to "beat" the Russians.
True, capitalism may have brought you nicer cars, fancier looking shoes, and cooler gadgets in the last century; but you have to consider that that is only because prioritizing that kind of production in what were the extant strongholds of the socialist camp at the time would necessitate an abrogation of the principle of international solidarity of the working class. I.e. Building a bunch of different factories to produce air Jordans when your twenty year-old country has just weathered a direct onslaught against the greatest fascist military force ever to exist would lose your leadership's legitimacy to rule an educated populace (the United States government doesn't have this problem, and has traditionally been able to extract surplus value, resources, capital, oil etc. from other countries by dint of force so as to bribe the people living here, though we're seeing more and more how that won't last). 1/2
