People are going to be debating what this election means for centuries.
Trump has in fact tapped into disaffected white, lower middle class males. There are a litany of reasons why this is the case. One big way he's done this is by promoting American protectionism (particularly white protectionism). He's against NAFTA, the TPP and other trade agreements which supposedly hurt domestic production. This is why many Bernie supporters say they will switch to Trump when Bernie inevitably loses. The only policies that comrade Bernie and Trump share is protectionism concerning domestic production jobs.
Trump draws in the rest by tough-talking and being strong on anti-terrorism and anti immigrant (which can be tied back into job protectionism because immigrants south of the border "steal" jobs from "hardworking" whites [funny, if they were so hard working then they could compete with actual hard working spics])
White men might feel disenfranchised, but they really aren't. In fact, most people that are disenfranchised in today's America are that way because of systemic problems, not because anyone is actively keeping others down a la Jim Crow.
The problem is the federal government, which use to be effectual, is now so bloated and disjointed that it can no longer affect purposeful change.
I'm hoping that the electing if trump or Clinton will finally break this mother fucker, tear down the top heavy economy, and we can start over from the ashes.

I've met some anarchists who I concluded, after a lengthy discussion, were batshit crazy. It's funny because there isn't any modern politician who I wouldn't describe as a socialist in some way - flashback to all of the Republicans talking about how social security is so important that it needs to be reformed and saved.

The "professional" rioters will riot whether or not there's something legitimate to riot about, they're just in it for the fires and stealing.
